Though you won’t have to enter a credit card number, you’ll have to enter some other personal identifying information like your name, date of birth, address, and Social Security number.

Other free credit reporting websites may require you to enter a credit card number before you receive your free credit report, because they include enrollment in a credit monitoring membership. Credit monitoring services give you continuous access to your latest credit reports and scores all year-round, and send you alerts whenever activity occurs to your credit. AnnualCreditReport.com only supplies you with one-time access to your credit reports once a year.

Free credit score without a credit card

There are no sites that we know of that allow you to receive a free credit score, no credit card needed. If a site does claim to offer a free credit score without asking for your credit card information, it is most likely supplying you with a credit score estimate, not your real score.
