It seems the credit card issuers are taking the ride on the rise of debit card/prepaid card usage to the teenagers.

In Australia, the debit card usage increase by over 17% in 2008.

Recently, Discover Card launched a similar product, Current by Discover, a Debit Card for Teens.

Whereas Citi launched CitiForward for College Students, rewarding cardholders for responsible lending.
